Allied Electrical Contractors

Allied Electrical are commercial based electrical contractors, undertaking a wide range of commercial and larger domestic electrical projects. We are fully approved electrical contractors for Health Authority and similar projects.

We carry out a wide range of lighting and general power installations including emergency lighting and fire alarm systems. In addition, we are able to verify existing electrical installations, conducting Periodic Inspections complete with report and certification.

Commercial Electrical Projects

Push Ltd, Commercial Printers, London

In this project, the installation of the mechanical and electrical services was part of the whole fit out project that we undertook on behalf of major building contractors, Herald Build Ltd. Here we installed the door entry system, office lighting, warehouse lighting and process lighting. The process lighting included the installation of photographic grade fluorescent tubes above the printing presses. We liaised with the electricity supply authority to install a new up-rated electrical supply to the building.

Eclipse Nightclub, Brentwood

This project involved the complete design and installation of the electrical services, fire alarm system, emergency lighting, voice & data cabling and control wiring.

Domestic Electrical Installations

Under Part P of the Building regulations we are fully approved to undertake work in domestic premises. We also work to Approved Document M regarding disability access to, and use of, buildings.

Best Western, Ivy Hill Hotel, Chelmsford

Undertook the electrical refurbishment of 35 bedrooms. This involved new general power and lighting and upgrading of the fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.

Henry Moore Primary School, Harlow

On behalf of Herald Build Ltd, main contractor, we are providing new electrical services, including fire alarms and emergency lighting in the new staff room and drama / music room.

Pontlands Park Hotel, Chelmsford

Here we conducted a detailed survey of the electrical installation of the hotel, enabling the client to identify maintenance issues, with a view to providing satisfactory electrical installation certificates. We also undertook the minor works required in order to issue the certificate.

Harley Carpets, Hutton, Brentwood

This re-development of a warehouse into a carpet showroom includes general power, specialist display lighting, fire alarms, emergency lighting and intruder alarm. This project also included the installation of external lighting to the front of the building and car park area.

Mead Park Industrial Estate, Harlow.

Refurbishment of 12 industrial units including external lighting works in preparation for re-letting. The work included inspection and testing of electrical installation, fire alarm systems and remedial work.

Finsbury Leisure Centre, London

Working with Herald building contractors, we refurbished and created a new gymnasium area. The project included installing new lighting throughout and an extensive wiring installation on behalf of an AV contractor for the installation of a number of large screen TVs and audio system. We also stripped out the old kitchen area, converting it into a new staff office area. This work included all lighting, general power and data cabling installation.
